An example of the Art Deco style, the ivory-coloured sculpture dates from a time when the porcelain factory collaborated with a number of prominent designers, often artists who had worked for Rosenthal. In the early 1920s Pirkenhammer started working with Emil Lentner, director of Rosenthal & Co AG in Selb, and consequently the Bohemian porcelain factory started to offer designs by Constantin Holzer-Defanti, Kurt Wendler, and Kurt Severin. Their designs had a strong influence on the further development of figures and services produced in Březová.
